I tested reddit on a different machine running Safari 12 and it works fine there. I am on Safari 11. Firefox works fine. Web inspector shows that Safari "was not allowed to display insecure content" and a "Reference Error: Can't find variable: globalThis". Safari has only recently made it easy to use Adblockers. However they are still worse then on other broswers. For this reason I suggest using the combo of Adblock and Adblock+.
